Spring is beautiful time on campus and you don't want to miss it! There's a LOT to take in - S&T trivia night, welcome breakfast, resource fair, S&T Band and Jazz Ensemble concerts, Miner baseball and softball games, Greek Sing competition, and more! See the full schedule below.

Schedule of Events

Parents and families are welcome to attend these special events!

5:00 - 9:00pm - Missouri S&T Equinox and Wellness Fair @ Gale Bullman Building, (Moved indoors - please use the doors on the south side of Gale Bullman next to the S&T Fitness Center.)  

7:30 a.m - 6 p.m. - "D-Day, Omaha Beach" traveling exhibit, Curtis Laws Wilson Library

3 p.m. - S&T Baseball vs. Drury game, S&T Baseball Field, free admission

3 - 5 p.m. - Test your escape skills in the Mobile Escape Room, Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building parking lot, 705 W 10th St. Sponsored by Career Development and Employer Relations (COER). Walk up, or reserve a time slot.

6 - 9 p.m. - S&T Trivia Night, sponsored by Student Union Board (SUB), Innovation Lab Forum, free to participate, but only S&T students may receive prizes.

7 p.m. - S&T Band Concert, Leach Theatre, $5 adults, free to youth ages under 18, and S&T students free. Purchase tickets now or buy at the door.

 

9 - 11:00 a.m. - Welcome Breakfast and Parents Resource Fair, St. Pat's Ballroom, Havener Center. Stop by the resource fair to visit with campus representatives. Enjoy a continental breakfast of assorted donut holes, yogurt bar with granola, berries and pineapple, sausage links, juice and coffee with flavored syrups. (Purchase breakfast tickets - children free, ages 12 and above $5, with purchase required before April 7 at noon. Please show digital ticket at door.)

9 a.m - 4 p.m. - Tours of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center (SDELC), where more than 20 student design teams gain real world, hands-on experience. 1051 N. Bishop Ave, 116 Kummer Student Design Center.

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Test your escape skills in the Mobile Escape Room, Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building parking lot, 705 W. 10th St. Sponsored by Career Development and Employer Relations (COER). Walk up, or reserve a time slot.

12 & 3 p.m. - S&T Baseball vs. Drury games, S&T Baseball Field, free admission.

12 & 2 p.m. - S&T Softball vs. William Jewell games, S&T Softball Field, free admission.

4 p.m. - Dad Rock Greek Sing 2025, Tater Patch, 103 Bridge School Road, Rolla. (Entry requires a cup, $7 Markup, $10 at the door. Cup comes with free soda. Supporting CASA)

9 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Brunch with the Dean of Students - Join your student for a delicious brunch buffet and chat with the Dean of Student Life, Social House at T.J. Hall. S&T students use meal swipe, others $11.85 plus tax/person.

Registered families may enjoy free parking for the duration of Family and Friends Weekend in the Underground Garage, 699 Tim Bradley Way (Rolla, MO 65409) by using the provided entry code for activities in the Havener Center.

Please pardon our construction dust at our growing campus. Allow plenty of time to park and walk to events, and don't forget to pack your comfy walking shoes! Every parking lot has designated handicapped accessible parking spaces.

We are pleased to offer these FREE campus parking options:

Friday - For tours of the Student Design and Experiential Learning Center, please use Lot X (next to the Gale Bullman Multipurpose Building). For closest access to the Innovation Lab and Havener Center, use Lot H-37 (entrance located off Tim Bradley Way) and walk through the pedestrian underpass, or use the Underground Parking Garage (699 Tim Bradley Way), or any campus parking lot.

Saturday - For the activities at the Havener Center use Lot H-37 (entrance located off Tim Bradley Way) and walk through the pedestrian underpass, or the Underground Parking Garage (699 Tim Bradley Way), or any campus parking lot. Lot C-11 (on 10th Street across from Castleman Hall) is the parade staging area, and will be closed until after the parade.

Sunday - For T.J. Hall, use Lot T (at T.J. Hall) or Lot L (entrance off 16th Street) and walk through the pedestrian tunnel.

Registration/Cost

What is the cost to register? Why is it important to register in advance for the weekend?

Family weekend registration is $10 for each family. Registering in advance helps us to plan for you to have a fantastic weekend, and helps keep costs and waste to a minimum. Register here before April 7 at noon.

What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes the Parents Resource Fair, free parking in the Underground Parking Garage, and a gift bag.

How will I receive the tickets that I purchased?

Tickets will be sent digitally via email from Minertix.com after purchase, which you may either download or view on your mobile device.

Are the tickets refundable if I am unable to come?

Family Weekend Registration cancellations and refund requests made before April 4, 2025, may receive a refund. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process from the time of cancellation. To request a refund, please email family@mst.edu.

Where do I check in to receive by gift bag?

Yes, everyone is welcome to attend the resource fair! We do request that you register for the weekend to aid in planning and to minimize waste.

Where should I park on campus?

Recommended parking lots and printable campus maps will be available on this page under "Parking Lots and Locations". Every parking lot has designated disabled parking spaces. Families who register will be sent a QR Code for free parking in the Underground Parking Garage (699 Tim Bradley Way).

Where should I check in?

Check in and pick up your gift bag on Friday from noon - 4:30 p.m. at 105 Norwood Hall (320 W. 12th St.); 5-7 p.m. at the Havener Center, and on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

Will my student have class on Friday?

Yes, classes are not canceled for Family & Friends Weekend. However, you are welcome to enjoy the campus and any scheduled activities while they are in class. Consult with your student for their availability during this busy weekend!

Do families and friends of returning students come?

Yes! Family & Friends Weekend is open to the families and friends of ALL our students!

Can I eat with my student in the dining hall?

Yes, on Sunday morning a brunch will be served at T.J. Dining Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you are welcome to purchase a meal ($11.85+ tax/person) to enjoy with your student. No prior registration is required.

How can I learn about on-campus resources available to my student?
